Alex Murray Construction Ltd Launch AMC Renewables
On Thursday the 10th of November 2011, Alex Murray Construction Ltd began re-advertising their renewables service as AMC Renewables. Although the company have been involved in the installation of renewable heating systems for over 3 years, it was on the 22nd of August that they received MCS Accreditation which allows them to commission their own installations to the standard required for eligibility for grants such as the RHI and the RHPP.
Although Alex Murray Construction Ltd are well known as a building contractor, it is not common knowledge that they also have a department which deals solely with renewable technologies. It was therefore decided that this element of their service should be re-branded and advertised in the form of AMC Renewables. To ensure that the advertising campaign would be successful, AMC Renewables worked closely with Donald Smith (http://www.donaldsmithgraphicdesign.co.uk/) to develop a number of eye-catching logos and graphics which reflect what the company is about and the services that they provide. These can be viewed in the renewables section of the website as well as above.
The following is a brief list of services that are available through AMC Renewables:
· Air Source Heat Pumps
· Ground Source Heat Pumps
· Solar Thermal Panels
· Biomass Boilers
· Insulation & Draught Proofing
· Advice on grants such as the Renewable Heat Incentive and the Renewable Heat Premium Payment
· Home Surveys to Identify Relevant Energy Efficiency Measures

New Tolsta Common Grazing Committee
A recent carbon footprint reduction initiative carried out by Alex Murray Construction and New Tolsta Common Grazing Committee has resulted in the local youth Club receiving a cheque for £200 from Alex Murray Construction.
This money together with small concrete works carried out at Buth Tholastaidh, the local community shop, reflects the fuel costs saved when top soil from a local Housing Development, instead of being driven 14 miles for disposal, was used to create a wind break for the new Community Poly tunnel venture in New Tolsta.
In the photo Is Ian D MacDonald (Contracts Manager at AMC) presenting the cheque to DJ MacRitchie (clerk New Tolsta) along with some of the children and committee members of the Tolsta Youth club.
